EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION & REPROCESSING

EMDR, or “Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing” is an integrative, brain-based psychotherapy that uses bilateral stimulation, through eye movements, tactile, or auditory methods, to reprocess traumatic past events and store them adaptively with clients’ already-present adaptive memory networks.

It’s incredibly effective and efficient as a modality and requires no lengthy discussion or reliving of unpleasant memories. Many clients describe feeling as though they’ve processed lifelong disturbances “once and for all.”

EMDR therapy can be done in person or via video visit.
