COGNITIVE BEHAVIOR THERAPY

CBT, or “Cognitive Behavior Therapy” is an evidence-based approach that helps clients understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Human beings develop patterns of thinking because those patterns serve a purpose. These patterns can be adaptive (positive) or maladaptive (negative). When maladaptive, they can contribute to anxiety, depression, stress, or just generally feeling “stuck.”

In CBT, we’ll identify these maladaptive patterns and you’ll learn practical skills to challenge them, develop healthier perspectives, and make meaningful, noticeable changes in your daily life. Rather than just talking about problems, CBT provides tools that you can use outside of sessions to create lasting change and learn and practice a new way of being.
